A Japanese therapeutic treatment, closely
related to Acupuncture. The practitioner uses their hands,
thumbs and fingers to work with the meridians and acupressure
points, together with giving gentle stretches and movement.
Shiatsu usually takes place on a mat and occasionally a chair.
The recipient is fully clothed.
Shiatsu treatments can be effective in facilitating change
and improvement to a variety of conditions, for example back
pain, digestive problems and emotional issues. See The
Shiatsu Society for more info.
Each session is for one hour, which will include discussing and reviewing how you are, together with the hands-on treatment. This is usually developed with me as a series of treatments.
